Mayor Jackie Biskupski proclaims “Salt Lake City Marathon Day”

Today, Mayor Jackie Biskupski issued a Proclamation declaring April 22, 2017 as “Salt Lake City Marathon Day.” In the Proclamation, Mayor Biskupski highlights the significance of the race, and encourages all to participate in the festivities.

Now in its 14th year, the Salt Lake City Marathon has established itself as a world-renowned event. Drawing thousands of athletes from all 50 states and over a dozen countries, the marathon provides all with the opportunity to race, enjoy festivities, and experience our beautiful Capitol City.

Today, Mayor Jackie Biskupski issued a Proclamation declaring February 16, 2017 as “Mayor Jake Garn Day in Salt Lake City.” Mayor Biskupski presented the honor to the former mayor and senator, during a visit he made with his family to City Hall.

Proclamation, pledge for men and art exhibit aim to educate community
 
SALT LAKE CITY – Mayor Ralph Becker has officially proclaimed April as “Sexual Assault Awareness Month” in Salt Lake City to help raise public awareness about sexual violence and to educate communities  and individuals  on how to prevent sexual violence.
