SALT LAKE CITY – An eight-block stretch of downtown’s 300 South will become a temporary festival street on Saturday, May 4 for the debut of “Open Streets Salt Lake City,” a free event that will create room to walk, bike and enjoy this public space free from vehicle traffic.

City to Dedicate Memorial Grove in Remembrance of Newtown Victims
SALT LAKE CITY – Salt Lake City officials will join other community leaders in dedicating a grove of trees in remembrance of the victims of the Newtown, Conn. shootings at a ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 27 at 2 p.m. at the entrance to the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 N Street (corner of N and 4th Ave.).
